Oscar returns to HealthSherpa
We're thrilled to announce that HealthSherpa has successfully completed negotiations with Oscar Health, making Oscar plans once again available on their platform! This means that agents and brokers can now offer Oscar's health insurance options to clients in all markets where Oscar is authorized for enrollments. Even better, Oscar has returned as an advanced commission carrier, providing new incentives for agents working with their plans.
Important Commission Update for Florida and Georgia
For agents selling Oscar plans in Florida and Georgia, there's a key update on commission requirements. Starting January 1, 2024, and continuing into 2025, agents must meet specific member thresholds to qualify for commissions. To receive commissions, agents need either:
- A minimum of 10 members in each state (Florida or Georgia), or
- 25 members across all states.
Once an agent reaches one of these milestones, commissions will begin, though they will not be applied retroactively. This new policy is designed to streamline commission processing and reward agents who achieve these member targets.
