CMS releases New Consent and Application Review Requirements FAQs

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently published additional FAQs on the consumer consent and application review requirements, supplementing the new FAQs published in June.
These FAQs have been developed to better address your most-asked questions about the consumer consent and application review requirements and to supply you with the tools needed for a successful Open Enrollment.
Topics covered in these new FAQs include:
- Requirements for updating the NPN on an application;
- Reverting changes made by another agent or broker;
- Maintaining documentation when no longer working with a consumer;
- Penalties for violating Marketplace requirements;
- And more!
The additional FAQs have also been added to the Privacy And Security Requirements section of the Agent/Broker FAQ database.
